The Tarheel Quilters Guild was
started in 1981 and has grown steadily, with over 100 members. The Guild is a
nonprofit organization whose primary objective is to promote and perpetuate the
art of quilting. Our work is designed to benefit and educate all persons
interested in preserving and advancing this art. The Tarheel Quilters Guild is a
member of the National Quilt Association.
Membership is open to anyone
10 years of age or older and it not restricted to quilters only. Anyone
interested in the art of quilting or who appreciates quilts and quilting may
join. Visitors and guests are always welcome at the guild meetings. They are
asked to sign in at the membership table before the meeting.
Our guild has been recognized with the Mountaire Better Carolina Award for April 2014 for our service to the community.
